Children’s Home International shared the great news of their upcoming Colombian hosting, in partnership with Frontier Horizons Hosting Organization. This is just in time to bring a child home for the Christmas Holidays in December, and opportunity to share your family traditions and learn about the child’s cherished traditions as well. Approximately 15 children have been prepared for this experience and any family that may possibly be open to adoption or may know other families that may also be open to adoption, is encouraged to quickly contact Children’s House International. This group of children ready for being hosted, consist of individual boys, individual girls and sibling groups comprised of both boys and girls.
This is a great way for family to have these children in your home and to experience a glimmer of what life could be with a new child in your family. After the hosting experience, should both the child and family wish to pursue the adoption, the family would work with Children’s House International, as the designated Primary Provider for this program.
Host families are required by the Colombian government to undergo a Hosting Home and Safety Visit and Report. Families will also be provided specialized education prior to the arrival of the host child and will be supported by the hosting organization for the duration of the hosting period. If the adoption is determined to be the family’s and child’s next steps, a prospective adoptive family would then undergo a fully Hague compliant home study.
